Flexibility: Key to Attracting and Retaining Women in Tech

Audio article-

Women currently hold only 26.7% of tech-related jobs.

Despite the abundance of tech-savvy, passionate, and talented women out there, many are unable to enter the tech industry due to its inflexibility.

The traditional work schedule, showing up each day at the same location, at the same desk within the same building is not for everyone. Many other aspects in women’s lives are replete with myriad possibilities, choices, and options.

Why shouldn’t work be one of them?

Technological development and the demand for specialized talent will force tech creators and employers to begin building tools and providing options to support work-life harmony.

The United Nations and UN Women are celebrating the 202 International Women’s Day by announcing DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.

CMG Digital takes great pride that 60% of our team are women.

Over the course of two decades, we have delivered over 50 000 projects for more than 200 global trends to more than 100 countries worldwide. While performing this global role, we prioritize flexibility and offer remote work options to accommodate the needs of our team members, 31% of whom are working moms.

The IWD 2023 #EmbraceEquity campaign highlights the importance of understanding the difference between equity and equality and why “equal opportunities are no longer enough” – and can in fact be exclusionary, rather than inclusive.

When girls see other women who have succeeded in tech careers, it helps them to imagine themselves doing the same. It also helps to break down stereotypes that suggest that tech leadership is only open to men.

In CMG Digital, we work to provide a meritocracy where personal achievement and team leadership are some of the main performance criteria that determine promotion.

Currently, 80% of our top management are women.

CMG Digital believes everyone deserves equal opportunities and recognition for their achievement. We are committed to continue creating an environment where everyone can thrive.

Happy International Women’s Day!
